Here’s what actually separates one centre from another once you look past the brochure. Caregiver-to-Infant Ratio Matters More Than the Number Suggests Every centre will quote a ratio, but it’s worth asking what that ratio looks like in practice during a full day, not just during a scheduled activity block. A 1:4 ratio during nap time and free play is very different from 1:4 during meals, diaper changes, and outdoor time happening simultaneously.
